Mari first discovered the Pilates method through belly dancing when she wanted to improve her core strength. After beginning Pilates she started to see the results of a stronger, leaner body with acute muscle awareness. Even her friends commented on how she looks taller. “I love it. I’ve gained a quarter of an inch in height since I’ve started,” Mari says. Pilates has also made her stronger. An avid water skier, at 63 years of age she can now pull herself back into the boat – something she has never been able to do, even as a teen.
