Pilates prepared her for her first triathlon at age 60.

Multiple car accidents caused her back problems and surgery was mandatory. Unfortunately, surgery didn’t fix the problem. The doctors said: “well, you are not getting any younger!”. She thought: “No, that’s not the answer,” and started to look for other options. A friend introduced her to Pilates and it helped her to move her spine and enabled her to stop taking pain medication. After training to teach Pilates she opened her own studio. At 60 years of age she decided to run for a triathlon and had to learn how to swim in order to compete. Her Pilates training redefined her self image and she is now an accomplished triathlete.
