Editorial Policy
This page explains how articles on Pilates Is Health are produced and checked, so you can decide how much weight to give them.
Who writes the articles
Articles are published under the name Editorial Team. We do not use invented author names, photos or job titles, and we do not claim medical or physical therapy credentials we do not have.
How articles are drafted
We are open about our process: first drafts are prepared with the help of an AI writing tool, working from a brief written by an editor. The draft then goes through a separate review pass that looks specifically for problems that matter in health writing:
- specific statistics, percentages or research findings that cannot be checked;
- references to particular studies, journals, authors or institutions;
- quotes, named experts, or personal and patient stories;
- claims that go further than the evidence, such as promises to cure, fix or reverse a condition;
- exercise advice that could be unsafe for the people the article is aimed at.
Anything in those categories is removed or rewritten in general, cautious terms before publication. An editor reviews the result, the cover image and the internal links before the article goes live.
How we use sources
We draw on the general direction of published research on exercise and Pilates, and on public guidance from health bodies such as the World Health Organization, national health services and public health agencies. When we mention these organizations, we describe their guidance in general terms. The only figures we use are widely published official recommendations, such as the guideline of at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity a week plus muscle-strengthening activity on two or more days.
When evidence is limited, mixed or mostly about exercise in general rather than Pilates in particular, we say so.
What we do not do
- We do not give individual medical advice, diagnose conditions or replace care from a clinician.
- We do not accept payment for coverage, publish sponsored articles or use affiliate links.
- We do not promote supplements, devices or programs.
